IQ Score
Terms of Use
The terms governing use of the IQ Score website, content, research, and paid subscriptions.
Last updated: 18 Aug 2026
Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the IQ Score website, content, research, and services.
IQ Score is operated by R-Ventures B.V., a private limited company incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands. These Terms form part of the agreement between you and R-Ventures B.V.
They include general terms that apply to everyone who uses IQ Score and a dedicated Subscriptions section that applies to paid memberships.
They should be read together with our:
Investment Disclaimer.
1. About IQ Score and Acceptance
By accessing or using the IQ Score website, content, research, or services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should not use them.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered members, and subscribers.
IQ Score is an independent investment research platform operated by R-Ventures B.V., a private limited company incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands.
IQ Score provides general investment research and educational information. Using IQ Score does not create an investment-advisory, brokerage, fiduciary, portfolio-management, tax-advisory, legal-advisory, or accounting relationship.
2. Accounts and Account Security
Some features may require you to create an account.
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
We may suspend or restrict account access where reasonably necessary to protect the account, other users, or the platform.
3. Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct
Unless a business, commercial, or multi-user arrangement has been expressly agreed, access to IQ Score is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- share your account or login credentials;
- provide paid access to another person;
- systematically download or extract research;
- scrape IQ Score content or databases;
- redistribute member-only content;
- publish substantial portions of paid research elsewhere;
- resell access;
- bypass technical restrictions; or
- use automated systems in a way that harms the platform or other users.
Reasonable personal use is encouraged.
Separate written licensing terms may be required for business, professional, institutional, publishing, advisory, data-resale, or multi-user use.
4. Use of IQ Score Content and Research
IQ Score provides general investment research and educational information only. It is not personalized investment advice and is not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Further information is provided in our Investment Disclaimer.
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use IQ Score content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use requires our prior written permission.
5. Intellectual Property
IQ Score research, classifications, scores, articles, databases, graphics, branding, software, methodology materials, and other content are owned by R-Ventures B.V., its licensors, or the applicable rights holder.
A subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access the content included in your membership.
A subscription does not transfer ownership of any content or intellectual property.
These Terms contain additional intellectual-property and permitted-use provisions.
6. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
Access may be affected by:
- planned maintenance;
- emergency maintenance;
- software updates;
- technical failures;
- security incidents;
- third-party outages;
- data-provider interruptions;
- regulatory requirements; or
- events outside our reasonable control.
A short interruption does not automatically create a right to a refund.
This does not affect mandatory remedies that may apply where a digital service materially fails to conform to the agreement.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate a membership or access where reasonably necessary because of:
- fraud;
- non-payment;
- chargeback abuse;
- unauthorized account sharing;
- serious or repeated violations of these Terms;
- unlawful conduct;
- misuse of content;
- security threats;
- attempts to bypass access controls; or
- conduct that materially harms IQ Score, its users, or third parties.
Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue before permanent termination.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users, security, legal compliance, or the integrity of the platform.
If we terminate a paid subscription without cause and without providing the remaining paid access, we will provide any refund required by applicable law and may provide a proportionate refund where appropriate.
8. API Access
Where IQ Score makes an application programming interface (API) available, these Terms also apply to your use of that API.
Any API key issued to you is personal to you and must be kept confidential.
You may not:
- share, transfer, or disclose your API key;
- circumvent, exceed, or interfere with applicable usage limits;
- misuse the API; or
- redistribute API-supplied content without authorization.
API access may be restricted, suspended, or revoked at any time.
We aim to provide reliable API access, but uninterrupted API availability is not guaranteed.
9. Subscriptions
The following provisions apply to free and paid IQ Score memberships.
9.1 Membership Types
IQ Score may offer different levels of access, including:
- access without an account;
- free membership;
- paid membership;
- early-access or premium membership;
- monthly or annual subscription plans; and
- future membership levels or add-on services.
The current features, price, billing period, and access level of each membership are shown on our website or during checkout.
Product names and membership structures may change as IQ Score develops.
9.2 What a Subscription Includes
Depending on the selected membership, a subscription may include access to:
- IQ Score research;
- Friend, Question Mark, and Foe classifications;
- current or historical IQ Score snapshots;
- member-only articles and publications;
- research archives;
- newsletters;
- early-access publications;
- watchlists;
- portfolio-related displays or tools; and
- future member features.
A subscription provides access to the services made available for that membership level during the applicable subscription period.
A subscription does not guarantee:
- personalized investment advice;
- portfolio management;
- coverage of every financial instrument;
- a fixed publication frequency;
- uninterrupted service;
- that every current feature will remain available permanently;
- any investment result; or
- that a security will retain a particular score or classification.
The Investment Disclaimer explains the limitations of IQ Score research in more detail.
9.3 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the billing period selected during checkout.
Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout.
You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for the initial purchase and each authorized renewal until the subscription is cancelled.
Prices may be displayed inclusive or exclusive of taxes depending on your location and the checkout configuration. Applicable VAT, sales tax, or similar charges will be shown where required.
IQ Score does not store complete payment-card information on its own systems.
You are responsible for keeping your payment and billing information accurate and current.
9.4 Automatic Renewal
Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period, a recurring subscription will renew automatically.
Monthly subscriptions generally renew for successive monthly periods.
For annual consumer subscriptions, renewal and cancellation will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law. Where applicable law prevents a subscription from renewing into a new fixed annual commitment, the subscription will not be renewed in a manner that unlawfully locks the consumer into another full year.
After an initial fixed term, a consumer subscription will be cancellable in accordance with applicable mandatory law, including any legally required monthly cancellation right.
Where applicable law requires a renewal notice or reminder, we will provide it.
The renewal price will be the price communicated for the next billing period, including any price change notified in accordance with these Terms.
9.5 Managing Your Subscription
You may be able to manage your subscription through your IQ Score account or the available membership portal.
Depending on the functionality available at the time, you may be able to:
- update payment details;
- view your current membership;
- review billing information;
- upgrade or downgrade;
- cancel automatic renewal; or
- change your subscription plan.
Some changes may take effect immediately. Others may take effect at the start of the next billing period.
If you cannot make a required change through your account, contact us at:
9.6 Cancellation
You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not normally terminate access immediately.
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, you will retain access to the paid membership until the end of the billing period that has already been paid.
After the paid period ends, your account may revert to the available free membership level.
Cancellation does not, by itself, create a right to a partial refund for an already-started billing period.
We believe subscriptions should be easy to start and easy to stop.
9.7 Fourteen-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you purchase an IQ Score subscription as a consumer, you may have the right to withdraw from your initial subscription purchase within fourteen days without providing a reason.
The withdrawal period expires fourteen days after the day on which the initial subscription agreement is concluded.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision through a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.
You may send that statement to:
You may use the EU Model Withdrawal Form included at the end of these Terms, but use of the form is not mandatory.
A simple email clearly stating that you wish to withdraw from the initial subscription purchase is sufficient.
If you validly exercise the right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments received for that initial subscription purchase.
Unless another method is expressly agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
We will process the refund without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.
IQ Score does not require you to waive your statutory withdrawal right merely because digital research or member content becomes accessible immediately after purchase.
The withdrawal right described in this section applies to the initial consumer purchase of a subscription.
It does not normally restart for:
- automatic renewals;
- recurring renewal payments;
- a continuation of the same subscription;
- price changes accepted for a later renewal; or
- services for which no new statutory withdrawal period arises.
A new withdrawal right may apply to a materially separate new purchase, upgrade, or service where required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9.8 Refunds Outside the Withdrawal Period
Outside any applicable statutory withdrawal period, subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the relevant billing period has started.
However, we will review reasonable refund requests fairly and in good faith, particularly in cases involving:
- duplicate charges;
- clear billing errors;
- unauthorized transactions;
- technical failure that materially prevented access to a paid service; or
- another situation in which a refund is required by applicable law.
Contact us at [email protected] if you believe a billing error has occurred.
Any discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide the same refund in another case.
9.9 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, the payment provider may retry the charge.
We may contact you or temporarily restrict paid access while payment remains outstanding.
If payment is not completed within a reasonable period, the subscription may be cancelled or reverted to a free membership.
You remain responsible for valid charges incurred before cancellation, subject to applicable consumer rights.
9.10 Subscription Upgrades and Downgrades
You may be able to upgrade or downgrade between membership levels.
An upgrade may take effect immediately, with the applicable price difference charged or prorated as shown during the change process.
A downgrade may take effect at the end of the current billing period.
The exact timing and financial effect of a change will be displayed before confirmation where the membership system supports this.
A material new purchase or upgrade may create additional consumer rights where required by applicable law.
9.11 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices.
A price change will not retrospectively affect a subscription period that has already been paid.
Before a new price applies to an existing recurring subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
Where applicable law requires a particular notice period, consent, or cancellation option, we will comply with that requirement.
If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel before the renewal at which the new price would take effect.
Continuing a subscription after a properly notified price change may result in the new price applying to later billing periods, subject to applicable law.
9.12 Changes to Membership Features
IQ Score is an evolving research platform.
We may:
- introduce new functionality;
- improve existing features;
- change how research is presented;
- reorganize membership benefits;
- replace a feature with a comparable feature;
- remove outdated functionality; or
- change the publication schedule.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
If a material change significantly reduces the principal benefits of an existing paid membership, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practical and legally required.
Where such a change materially disadvantages an existing member, the member will have an opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect, subject to applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in:
- our membership structure;
- billing arrangements;
- consumer law;
- technology;
- services; or
- business operations.
We will update the Last updated date when changes are made.
If a material change adversely affects existing members, we will provide advance notice before the change takes effect, unless an immediate change is required for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, or security reasons.
Where a material change reduces existing rights or benefits, affected members will have an opportunity to cancel before the change becomes effective.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights that have already accrued.
11. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Consumers may have additional rights relating to:
- pre-contractual information;
- automatic renewal;
- cancellation;
- withdrawal;
- refunds;
- digital-content conformity;
- unfair terms; and
- dispute resolution.
Where these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer law, the mandatory law will prevail.
